GCI Health has named Sophie Asker as MD of its Singapore operation, after the office launched the WPP firm’s Asia-Pacific presence in 2018.
Asker joins after more than 11 years with Syneos Health in the UK, where she was most recently deputy MD of public relations. She replaces Dan Blomfeld, who has taken on a regionally-focused role as MD of medical communications for Asia-Pacific.

The appointments follow sustained growth for GCI Health in Asia-Pacific, which has included the launch of a Hong Kong office, and expansion beyond healthcare PR and policy into medical communications and education.
