La società premiata per il terzo anno consecutivo a conferma della sua leadership nel mercato Cloud e Data Center in Grecia
Sparkle, primo operatore di servizi wholesale internazionali in Italia e ottavo nel mondo, annuncia che la sua partecipata in Grecia ha ottenuto il premio “Cloud Service of the Year” alla conferenza InfoCom World 2019, il più grande evento per operatori TLC, IT e Media in Europa sud-orientale, svoltosi ad Atene il 26 novembre.
Il premio si aggiunge ai riconoscimenti Data Center of the Year e Best Cloud Service Provider ricevuti da InfoCom rispettivamente nel 2018 e nel 2017 e ai premi ricevuti ai Cloud and Green Awards nel 2014 e nel 2013, confermando ancora una volta la leadership di Sparkle nel settore Cloud e Data Center nonché il suo contributo allo sviluppo del mercato greco in generale.
Sparkle opera in Grecia attraverso tre data center proprietari – due nell’area di Atene (Metamorfosi e Koropi) e uno a Creta – fornendo una gamma completa di soluzioni ICT che, integrate con i servizi di connettività globale di Sparkle, rendono i data center di Sparkle Greciaparticolarmente interessanti per service provider e imprese nazionali e multinazionali. Nel 2018 l’azienda ha ricevuto la certificazione ISO 14001: 2015 per le sue attività in Grecia, diventando il primo fornitore di data center nel Paese a essere certificato per il proprio sistema di gestione ambientale.
Sparkle prevede di espandere ulteriormente il business in Grecia, realizzando nuove infrastrutture, implementando le tecnologie più avanzate e assumendo personale qualificato. A conferma del proprio impegno nel Paese, l’azienda sta investendo nella costruzione del suo quarto dato center nell’area di Metamorfosi in Attica: il nuovo edificio offrirà 5.500 mq di spazio di colocation con impianti ad alta efficienza energetica per offrire ai propri clienti infrastrutture sostenibili, sicure e all’avanguardia per i loro sistemi IT.
Sparkle Wins the Cloud Service of the Year Award at InfoCom World Conference 2019
The company awarded for the third year in a row as a confirmation of its leadership in the Cloud and Data Center business in Greece
Sparkle, the first international service provider in Italy and among the top ten global operators, announces that its subsidiary in Greece has received the “Cloud Service of the Year” award at the InfoCom World Conference, the largest event for Telecom, IT and Media players in South East Europe, held in Athens on November 26th.
The win follows the awards received by InfoCom in 2018 as Data Center of the Year and in 2017 as Best Cloud Service Provider as well as the prizes “Data Center of the year” received at the Cloud and Green Awards in 2014 and 2013, recognizing once again Sparkle’s leadership in the Cloud and Data Center business as well as its contribution to development of the Greek market overall.
Sparkle operates in Greece through three proprietary data centers – two in the Athens area (Metamorphosis and Koropi) and one in Crete – providing a full range of integrated ICT solutions that, bundled with Sparkle’s global connectivity services, make its Greece Data Centers particularly appealing for service providers as well as multinational and domestic enterprises. In 2018 the company received ISO 14001:2015 certification for its activities in Greece, becoming the first Data Center provider in the country to be certified for its environmental management system.
Sparkle plans to expand its Cloud and Data Center business in Greece building new facilities, implementing the latest technology infrastructure and hiring highly skilled personnel. As a confirmation of its commitment in the country, the company is investing on the construction of its fourth data center in the area of Metamorphosis in Attica: the new building will offer 5500 sq. m. of colocation space and feature the latest energy efficient technologies to provide its customers with the most secure, sustainable and state-of-the-art technological environment for their mission-critical IT systems.
